Originally from Chicago, Dr. Matalon earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He went on to complete a master’s degree in Pharmacology and Nutrition at the University of Southern California. He completed his postgraduate residency training in Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Matalon provides compassionate, professional psychiatric care for both children and adults. For young patients, he offers a safe and supportive environment to address issues like anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other emotional challenges, working closely with families to create personalized treatment plans that foster growth and resilience. His expertise also extends to adult psychiatry, where he helps individuals manage stress, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health concerns with thoughtful, adaptable treatment strategies—guiding all patients toward improved mental wellness and a better quality of life.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Matalon enjoys staying active through bike riding, taking walks with his dog, and spending quality time with his family.
